March 2003 | Peachtree
City, GA: Launched at the Design Show in Chicago, Spyraflo,
Inc. displayed for the first time a line of Self-Aligning Bearings
mounted in aluminum Pillow Block and Housing Flange assemblies.
The ± 5° static alignment capability
gives flexibility to designers and development engineers to incorporate
the bearings without costly machining and assembly. The lightweight
aluminum housings have controlled dimensional stability and clean
lines making them an ideal element on a machine or system assembly.
Uniquely the line includes Self-Aligning Needle
Roller (INA), Teflon Impregnated Bronze (INA Permaglide), and SAE
840 High Performance Oilite Bronze bearings. Shaft diameters are
available in inch and mm sizes from 0.250 inch to 1.250 inch and
6mm to 30mm.
