Requirement:
A packaging machinery manufacturer required an FDA compliant flange-mounted bearing that would be used on the machine accommodating fabrication misalignment.
Solution:
- The Spyraflo FSSD-500, Delrin® Self-Clinching, Self-Aligning, Stainless Steel bearing met the load, speed and FDA requirements, the ±5° self alignment capability compensated for machine assembly issues.
- The FSSD-500 was clinched into a 2-hole hard coat anodized aluminum flange creating and FDA compliant assembly.
