Spyraflo carries a line of high-temperature plain bearings available to design engineers looking for improved performance and savings in applications subject to constant or intermittent high temperatures. The Self-Clinch, Self-Align high-temperature design is available in Teflon Bronze and offers a very high load-carrying capacity.

Applications benefiting from high temperature bearings include commercial ovens, particularly those in fast food establishments and institutional kitchens found in hospitals, schools, etc. OEM equipment manufacturers often use a powdered paint process that heats surfaces to temperatures in excess of 400ºF. This "baking" process requires bearings that can withstand high temperatures. The new line of Spyraflo high temperature bronze bearings has a maximum operating temperature of 540ºF (282ºC). The standard High-Temperature, Self-Clinch, Self-Align design is available in sizes of ¼”, 5/16” 3/8” & ½” (6, 8, 10 & 12 mm); other sizes are available on request.
